| Duties: | Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support for Manufacturing Supervisors, Maintenance Engineers and the plant floor.
Identify and control critical process variables through an understanding of the product features developed through interaction with customers and the product development group.
Assist with the quote process for new products.
Employ disciplined problem solving methods as directed by the engineering group.
Support quality programs requirements and initiatives as needed (TS16949, ISO 9001, Lean, 8D, etc.).
Participate in scrap and waste reduction activities.
Support process engineering activities to achieve strategic objectives as assigned.
Knowledge and experience with machining processes, casting processes, metal forming processes or demonstrated capabilities in physical metallurgy of controlled purity metals and alloys is a plus.

| Qualifications: | BS degree in Material Science, Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering preferred or associated degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
Experience in solving manufacturing issues, knowledge of SPC, Measurement System Analysis and process risk reduction.
Experience in creating or revising process documents such as FMEA's, Control Plans and standard operating procedures or job instructions.
Demonstrated Project Management Experience and Technical writing.
Ability and desire to provide daily "hands on" floor support.
Experience in metal casting and/or fabrication processes.
Demonstrated lean manufacturing implementation a plus.
Quality background a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills.
